1) Press the call button and the Medical Alert System automatically dials our Monitoring Center. The call is toll-free.
2) A trained Help Advisor answers and talks with you over the base unit’s built-in speaker phone.
3) Our Help Advisor calls for emergency assistance and phones your caregiver, family members, friends or neighbors as needed.
Aegis’ Monitoring Center is standing-by to receive emergency signals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Aegis Monitoring Center is UL-listed for emergency signal processing. For reliability, the monitoring center has its own backup electrical generator in the event of a power outage.
In seconds, the emergency signal is transmitted via the phone lines through an electronic switched network to the Aegis Monitoring Center. Electronic equipment is interfaced with a computer network and our team of Help Advisors, in working to provide fast emergency response.
The needs of each of our clients can be different; Aegis will customize the response according to your needs. We can also call your designated contacts until we reach someone to report that we have dispatched the emergency services to the premises.
Your system should be tested into the Monitoring Center every month. When you test your system you become familiar with its operation and the procedures of the Monitoring Center. We are always happy to assist our clients in testing their systems and encourage them to take advantage of this complimentary service.
